Did everything from cleaning cleats between plays, handing out water to laying out uniforms before the game. My most vivid memory is the craziness in the locker room after we won the championship. Just an amazing experience. The names of all players escape me. I do remember Tony Bertuca though. I believe he was a linebacker or defensive end. Loved watching him play. Just wonderful memories.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08952070937561661999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272107330251408114.post-91401448630613384652019-09-10T11:03:27.055-05:002019-09-10T11:03:27.055-05:00What happened to Lake County Chiefs..semi-pro foot...What happened to Lake County Chiefs..semi-pro football team ran by Arlee Williams 1999-2000?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04640691600887394727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272107330251408114.post-15137729169909455822017-10-02T15:17:28.803-05:002017-10-02T15:17:28.803-05:00Please do email me ddretske@lcfpd.org. He’s still alive and perhaps he can identity some of the players. I’ll email Diana if she’s still there Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16476880841792783100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272107330251408114.post-50009936656389005812015-12-16T10:28:14.479-06:002015-12-16T10:28:14.479-06:00Nice post! I would drive from Racine for the 2 weekly practices and the Saturday night games were primarily played in Wisconsin and Illinos. We were paid almost nothing, but the Saturday dinners were good and we loved the game.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272107330251408114.post-71823844064244305342014-03-18T10:56:29.325-05:002014-03-18T10:56:29.325-05:00The players were from all over, and did not necess...The players were from all over, and did not necessarily grow up in Lake County.

To find which high school individual players may have attended in Lake County, I would need the player's name, and then yearbooks would need to be checked at various archives.

Is there someone in particular you are looking for?Diana Dretskehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10869264189532595690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272107330251408114.post-14889588306587834722014-03-16T03:32:22.954-05:002014-03-16T03:32:22.954-05:00Are you able to tell me which high school did the ...Are you able to tell me which high school did the Lake County Rifles attend during the years of 1946-1949 ?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
